The C2 is a dynamic 3-door supermini with top-of the range equipment, modular design and high-level engines. Released in September 2003, it sold more than 150,000 units in Western Europe in 2004.

With its striking style and strong personality, the C2 is the embodiment of dynamic performance. Its design lines play on visual appeal and on the break created by the recessed side rear windows. The C2 has new rear lights. Inside, the supermini has benefited, like the C3, from a new dashboard which enhances the passenger compartment. Two new trims in leather and leather/fabric, available as options, also raise the tone of the onboard interior design.

Comfort and Technology

Like the C3, the C2 boasts a range of equipment previously available only on vehicles from higher segments. The equipment includes cruise control with the new addition of a speed limiter and instrument cluster display of selected mode and speed; a height-and-reach adjustable steering wheel as standard; automatically operated front windscreen wiper and headlamps; electronic parking assistance; and, on some versions, electronic rearview mirrors that can now be folded with a HF remote control unit. Adapting rear part The C2 features an ingenious design concept through which the rear part of the vehicle can be adapted to the needs of the moment. The two rear seats can be independently controlled by a support strap, to slide or fold “portfolio style” without any effort on the part of the user. This unique system provides the basis for a host of configurations. For example, the C2 can carry three adults while offering generous loading space.Practical and easy to handle, the rear seats can also be folded and removed from the rear of the vehicle. The C2 combines driving pleasure with high levels of safety thanks to the latest in safety equipment, offered as standard, such as ABS, emergency braking assistance, four front and side airbags, hazard warning lights activated automatically by strong braking, and ESP (on the 1.4i and 1.6i 16V according to versions and markets). Furthermore, the C2’s results in EuroNCAP consumer tests (4 stars and 29 points) have confirmed the qualities of the common platform shared with the C3 and C3 Pluriel in terms of passenger protection.
